About Wandered South

A black-and-white self-portrait of the photographer

I photograph the way places feel.

My work moves between cities and quiet spaces—street corners, waterlines, and everything in between—focusing on light, texture, and the small details that often go unnoticed. I’m drawn to moments that are fleeting but grounded: a shift in color, a reflection, a passing glance.

Much of my work is rooted in the South, especially New Orleans and the surrounding Gulf Coast. These places carry a rhythm of their own—layered, expressive, and constantly changing—and I try to meet them where they are, without forcing a narrative onto them.

Whether I’m photographing a city street or something as simple as water or shell, the goal is the same: to capture something real, even if it only exists for a moment.
